Regenera4MED partners met online to move the project’s activities forward and coordinate the next important steps towards regenerative tourism across the Mediterranean.
The meeting brought together project partners to review progress across the different Work Packages, discuss the implementation of pilot activities and agree on the upcoming milestones.
Among the main topics discussed were:
- Progress of the Regenerative Tourism Journey (RTJ) Tool and the Regenera4MED Blueprint Online Training Course, with partners and pilots working towards completion by 30 September 2026.
- Updates from the six pilot territories in Catalonia, Crete, Liguria, Abruzzo, Croatia and Corsica, including co-ideation activities, stakeholder engagement and mentoring.
- Preparation of Deliverable D2.3.1 – Regenerative Tourism Experiences, with pilots submitting their first drafts by 21 September 2026.
- Planning of the upcoming Peer Learning activities, bringing together mentors, tourism experiences and pilot territories through online and face-to-face exchanges.
- Preparation for the next Steering Committee and peer-review sessions in Croatia, 16–17 December 2026, with a possible site visit on 15 December.
- Communication, capacity-building and cross-fertilisation activities, including stronger cooperation with other Mediterranean projects and initiatives working on sustainable and regenerative tourism.
Several important events are coming up, including the International Forum “Regeneration in Action”, the launch of the Interreg Euro-MED Academy, and the Sustainable Tourism Mission Community Meeting.
Through continuous collaboration, knowledge exchange and engagement with local stakeholders, Regenera4MED continues to turn regenerative tourism principles into concrete actions and experiences across Mediterranean territories.
