Tech4Impact Partners Advance Social Entrepreneurship Education through Online Consortium Meeting The partners of the European project Tech4Impact – Empowering Technical Minds in the Entrepreneurship of the Industrial Sector of Proximity and Social Economy successfully held their latest online consortium meeting, bringing together representatives from partner organizations across Europe to review project progress and coordinate upcoming activities. The meeting focused on advancing the project's mission to strengthen the connection between technical education, digital innovation, and social entrepreneurship, enabling future graduates and professionals to create innovative solutions with a positive societal impact. Progress in Project Implementation During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress achieved across the project's work packages and discussed the next steps for implementation. Significant milestones have already been completed, including the Project Management Handbook, the Evaluation and Quality Monitoring Action Plan, the Data Management Plan, the Risk Management Plan, and the Communication and Dissemination Plan. The consortium also examined the current status of the project's Needs Assessment and Skills Gap Analysis (WP2), which aims to identify the skills and competencies required for social entrepreneurship among technical students in fields such as ICT, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Technologies. Identifying the Skills of Future Social Entrepreneurs A central topic of discussion was the analysis of existing educational offerings and the identification of skills gaps related to social entrepreneurship. Partners reviewed the methodology for the state-of-the-art research and the mapping of training opportunities and skills needs across participating countries. The discussions highlighted an important question that will shape the project's future activities: Should education focus on preparing individuals to work within social enterprises, on supporting them to create their own social ventures, or on both? The outcomes of this analysis will directly contribute to the development of innovative curricula, training programmes, mentorship schemes, and micro-credentials tailored to the needs of future social entrepreneurs. Building Innovative Educational Tools Partners also discussed the next phase of the project, which includes the design and development of several innovative resources: -Recommendations for curriculum development and implementation; -Integration of micro-credentials into Higher Education and VET programmes; -Development of the Tech4Impact curriculum and training framework; -Creation of the Social Skills Passport, designed to help learners identify, validate, and showcase their social entrepreneurship competencies. These outputs aim to support learners, educators, and institutions in fostering entrepreneurial mindsets capable of addressing societal and environmental challenges through technology and innovation. Dissemination and Sustainability The consortium reviewed dissemination activities, including social media presence, website updates, collaboration with associated partners, and communication strategies designed to maximize the project's impact and reach. Partners reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the long-term sustainability of project results and engaging Higher Education Institutions, VET providers, enterprises, and stakeholders from the social economy sector. Looking Ahead Over the next six months, the Tech4Impact consortium will focus on completing the recommendations for curriculum development, defining specifications for micro-credentials, designing the training framework, and developing the Social Skills Passport. These activities will lay the foundation for future pilot implementations and validation activities.
